# Creating a New Agent

Access Agent Maker. Open the Agent Maker interface from the admin panel at admin.aidesk-pro.com.

  2. 2

Define skills. Specify the areas of expertise and the specific skills that your virtual assistant should have. This can include customer support, HR management, IT assistance, sales, and marketing.

  3. 3

Customize the agent. AI desk Pro automatically proposes the name, welcome card, and system prompt for your agent as you specify your desired agent in the conversation bar. You can easily customize the name of your agent by editing its input bar.

  4. 4

Finalize and publish the agent. Once you are finished with your agent, click the Save button at the top right of the editing space. Your new agent is published and available for your team to use.

AI desk Pro helps during your creation process to set up your agent so you can get the best outcome from your chatbot. While AI facilitates the agent creation process, it is always a good idea to give AI desk Pro more details about the outcome you are looking for. With better specifications, the better the quality of your agent will be.

# Managing Agents

Once an agent is set up, you see it in the agent overview of your admin dashboard. Here's what you can do:

  1. 1

See an overview of the agents you created.

  2. 2

Consult the creation date for each agent.

  3. 3

Check the deployment status of each agent, whether it is fully deployed or still initializing.

  4. 4

Configure each agent by clicking the Actions button then Details, or simply click the agent name. A dashboard dedicated to that agent opens, where you can configure and monitor different aspects of your agent.
