# Managing Resources (Rooms)

Resources let you turn your Calendar Pro into a booking calendar for shared items such as meeting rooms or equipment. Once resources are set up, each event can be assigned to a resource, so you can see at a glance what is booked and when.

Note: The Rooms management option is available for resource-based calendars (for example Room booking and parking scenarios). You need editing rights on the calendar to add, rename or delete resources.

# Where can I find Rooms management?

  1. Open your calendar.
  2. Click the Β·Β·Β· (More options) button in the toolbar at the top of the calendar.
  3. Select Rooms management from the menu.

A dialog opens listing your current resources.

# How can I create a resource?

  1. Open Rooms management.
  2. Click Add resource.
  3. A new empty field appears. Type the name of the room or equipment (for example "Meeting room A" or "Projector 1"). A resource name is required and can be up to 100 characters.
  4. Repeat for each resource you need.
  5. Click Save to store your changes.

Note: The Save button stays disabled while a resource has an empty name, so make sure every resource is named before saving.

# How can I delete a resource?

  1. Open Rooms management.
  2. Find the resource you want to remove in the list.
  3. Click the trash icon next to it.
  4. Click Save to confirm your changes.

# How can I assign a resource to an event?

On a resource-based calendar, the event form includes a Resource field.

  1. Create a new event or open an existing one.
  2. In the Resource field, search and select the room or equipment you want to book.
  3. Fill in the rest of the event details and click Save.

πŸ”’ Availability: With a Premium license you can choose from all your resources. Without Premium, the resource picker on the event form is limited to the first three resources.

# How do resources affect the calendar views?

When your calendar is in resource mode, the available views are Month, Week and Day. The Agenda view is not available in resource mode, so it does not appear in the view selector or in the calendar settings.
