# Who is the creator and owner of a Booking Room Pro tab
The person who installs the Booking Room Pro tab in a Microsoft Teams channel becomes its creator and owner. Ownership is tied to the tab you set up, not to a Microsoft 365 role, so whoever adds Booking Room Pro to the channel holds that role from the start.
# Why ownership matters
Ownership decides who can manage the calendar when you tighten access. In the permissions settings you can choose to let everybody in the channel add, edit, and delete bookings, or restrict those actions to the owner or owners of the Booking Room Pro tab. If you pick the owners-only mode, only the creator and any members you designate can change bookings, while everyone else has read-only access.
Ownership follows the tab. If you add Booking Room Pro to several channels, each tab has its own owner: the person who installed that specific tab.
To grant per-person edit rights without making everyone an owner, use Customize permissions to set Add, Modify, and Delete rights for each member individually.
