Teams Notifications

What it is: Keep your team in the loop automatically. Gantt Chart Pro can send a Teams notification to the people assigned to a task whenever that task is created, updated, or deleted, so no one has to refresh the tab to stay aware of changes.

Where to find it

The Notifications button lives on the right-hand side of the toolbar, above your Gantt chart (next to Settings and About). Click it to open the Notifications panel.

The two switches

The Notifications panel offers two independent toggles. Turn on either, both, or neither.

1. Added/updated task — when on, a Teams notification is sent to the task's participants every time a task is created or updated.
2. Deleted task — when on, a Teams notification is sent to the task's participants every time a task is deleted.

Each switch shows a short description so the behaviour is clear:

• "Send a Teams notification to all participants of a new or updated task"
• "Send a Teams notification to all participants of a deleted task"

Who receives the notification

Good to know: Only the participants assigned to the task receive the notification. If a task has no participants, no notification is sent.

Note: The person who performed the action (the author of the add, update, or delete) is excluded — you never get notified about your own change. The notification opens directly on the relevant Gantt tab in Teams.

Common Questions

Do I need to set this up for every task?

No. The two switches apply globally to the whole Gantt chart. Set them once and they stay on (or off) for every task.

Will I be notified about my own edits?

No. The author of an action is always removed from the recipient list, so you only hear about changes made by others.

What if a task has no one assigned?

No notification is sent. Notifications are only delivered to people listed as participants on the task.
