# Tasks & Subtasks
What it is: Create tasks with start/end dates, notes, and % complete. Use subtasks to structure work under a parent task so ownership and progress are clear.
- Click + Add task β enter Name, Start, End.
- Open the task panel to add Notes and set % complete.
- For hierarchy, choose Add subtask under a parent task and fill the fields.
- Drag task bars on the timeline to adjust dates.

- Good to know: Keep names short; move detail into Notes. Update % complete to make status obvious at a glance.
# Common Questions
# Can I track progress on each task?
Yes, set % complete in the task panel.
# Can I rearrange dates quickly?
Yes, drag the task bar to shift Start/End.

# Duplicate a task
What it is: Quickly create a copy of an existing task instead of rebuilding it from scratch β useful for recurring or similar pieces of work.
- Select the task you want to copy by clicking its row in the Gantt chart.
- In the toolbar, click Clone.
- In the dialog, the original task name is pre-filled. Rename the copy if you want.
- Click Validate to create the duplicate (or Cancel to discard).
Good to know: The copy keeps the original task's participants (resources), dates, and progress, but it does not copy dependencies (predecessor links). You set those again on the new task if needed.
Note: If you click Clone without selecting a task first, you'll be prompted to "Please select a task in your Gantt chart".
# Task status (automatic)
What it is: The Status column is calculated for you from the task's % complete β there is no status to fill in by hand.
- 0% β To do
- 1β99% β In progress
- 100% β Done
Good to know: To move a task between statuses, just update its % complete in the task panel. The Status column updates automatically.
# Right-click menu and Expand / Collapse
Right-click a task row to open its context menu, which gives quick access to:
- Task Information β open the task to view or edit its details.
- Delete Task β remove the selected task.
- Add β add a new task.
- Delete Dependency β remove a dependency (predecessor link) on the task.
Tip: When your plan contains subtasks, Expand all and Collapse all buttons appear in the toolbar so you can open or fold the whole hierarchy in one click.
