# Can we share the contacts from Contacts Pro through Outlook?

Contacts Pro does not include a built-in, one-click way to send your contacts directly to Outlook. There is no native Outlook sync or "share to Outlook" button, and contacts are not exported as Outlook contact cards (vCard / .vcf) files.

The good news is that you can still get your contacts into Outlook with a simple two-step workaround, using the Excel export that Contacts Pro does support.

# How can I move my Contacts Pro contacts into Outlook?

# Step 1: Export your contacts from Contacts Pro

Contacts Pro lets you export your contacts to an Excel file (.xlsx). This file becomes the bridge between Contacts Pro and Outlook.

  1. Follow the steps in How to Export Contacts from Contacts Pro to export your contacts.
  2. You will receive your exported .xlsx file by email once the export is complete.
  3. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it.

Note: The number of contacts you can export depends on your subscription tier. See Mixed Tier Usage in Contacts Pro for the limits that apply to your plan.

# Step 2: Import the file into Outlook / People

Outlook can import contacts from a file. The exact steps depend on your version of Outlook, but the general approach is the same.

  1. Because Outlook usually imports contacts from a CSV file, open your exported .xlsx file in Excel and save a copy as CSV (Comma delimited).
  2. In Outlook, open the People (Contacts) area and use the Import option to import contacts from your file.
  3. Map the columns from the file to the matching Outlook contact fields if prompted, then confirm to finish the import.

Tip: For the precise import steps in your version of Outlook, refer to Microsoft's own help on importing contacts into Outlook, as the wording and menu locations vary between Outlook on the web, the new Outlook, and the classic desktop app.

# Summary

  • There is no native Outlook sharing in Contacts Pro, and no vCard export.
  • The supported transfer format is Excel (.xlsx).
  • To use your contacts in Outlook, export them from Contacts Pro, then import the file into Outlook / People.
