# Onboarding a new agent — interactive guide
This interactive guide walks agent administrators through the full onboarding of a new AI Desk Pro agent — from scoping the need to adoption and continuous improvement. It is a self-contained tool with three views: a guided step-by-step path, a dashboard, and a printable version. Progress is saved in your browser and can be exported/imported as a JSON file.
The interactive guide is provided in French, the working language of the onboarding projects it supports.
# What it covers
- Agent lifecycle — onboarding framed as a loop (Scope → Build → Validate → Adopt → Improve ↻), not a one-off project.
- Knowledge strategy — a 3-question diagnostic recommends a strategy (existing FAQ, FAQ to build, documents, or hybrid), with documentary governance rules and a maintenance cadence per source type (from weekly to half-yearly).
- Adoption plan — a cadenced communication plan (J-5, J0, J+7, J+30, then monthly and quarterly) with ready-to-copy PUSH messages and campaign indicators.
- Governance — go/no-go criteria to clear before going to production.
- Metrics — questions asked per active user, and share of answers rated useful (feedbacks).
# The three views
- Guided path — the recommended way to run a real onboarding: 8 phases, checkable tasks, and a contextual decision tool on each phase.
- Dashboard — a synthetic overview: KPIs, phase progress, a working-day schedule (French weekends and public holidays excluded), next actions and go/no-go status.
- Printable version — a linear layout with six appendices, ready to print or export to PDF.
Use Export to hand off your progress to a colleague — the guide stores state locally in each browser, so exporting/importing the JSON file is how you share an onboarding in progress.
