# Rename your Map Pro tab

You can rename the Map Pro tab at any time so its name reflects the channel, project, or region it covers. The tab name is set by Microsoft Teams, so you rename it from the Teams tab menu rather than from inside the map. This is handy when a team pins several maps and needs to tell them apart at a glance.

# Rename the tab

    Go to the channel or chat where Map Pro is pinned as a tab.

    Click the drop-down arrow next to the Map Pro tab name at the top of the window.

    Select Rename from the menu.

  4. 4

    Type the new tab name, then click Save.

Renaming changes only the tab label shown in Microsoft Teams. Your map data, places, and trips stay exactly as they are, and the tab keeps the same unique identifier.
