# Gantt Chart Pro licensing for channel users

No, not everyone in a channel needs a paid license. Gantt Chart Pro is licensed per user, and only the people who need Premium capabilities require a seat. Teammates who only need the Free experience can still open the tab and work within the Free limits, so you can mix Free and Premium users in the same channel.

A paid license unlocks unlimited tasks, subtasks, and participants, plus task colors, milestones, filtering, and exports. Free users keep full read and edit access within the Free limits.

# Who needs a paid license

License the users who need to go beyond the Free limits or use a Premium-only feature. In practice, that means anyone who needs to:

  • Add more than 5 main tasks, more than one subtask per task, or more than 3 participants per task.
  • Apply task colors or add milestones.
  • Filter the timeline or export the plan to CSV, Excel, or PDF.

# Buy or manage licenses

Purchase Premium and adjust the number of seats from the Teams Pro Admin Center.
