Manager Insight Pro Limits

Knowing what Manager Insight Pro can and cannot do helps you set expectations for every report. Manager Insight Pro is a Microsoft 365 Copilot agent that reads your Microsoft 365 collaboration data to surface leadership insights. The boundaries below keep its analysis accurate, focused, and secure.

Manager Insight Pro requires an active subscription and a valid Microsoft 365 Copilot license before any analysis runs.

Platform

• Microsoft 365 Copilot: Manager Insight Pro runs as a declarative agent inside Microsoft 365 Copilot. You reach it through Copilot, including from Microsoft Teams, rather than as a standalone web or desktop app.
• Languages: the agent is available in English and French.

Analysis scope

• Direct reports only: analysis is limited to your direct reports. Manager Insight Pro does not expand to other collaborators, and it uses People data only to identify who reports to you.
• Requested time period only: the agent analyzes the exact period you ask for and never widens the time range on its own. Specify a clear window, such as the last 30 days or a named quarter, for the most useful results.
• Read only: Manager Insight Pro reads your data to produce insights. It does not send, delete, or modify emails or messages, and it does not take actions on your behalf.

Data sources

Manager Insight Pro measures collaboration using Teams messages (one-to-one chats, group chats, channel replies, mentions, reactions, and calls), internal emails you send and receive, and meetings. All data stays inside your Microsoft 365 tenant.

Confidence and sparse data

• Confidence is always reported: every major insight carries a confidence percentage, and the agent never reports 100 percent confidence.
• Low-volume signals: when interaction data is sparse, visuals are labeled as indicative, and an absence of interaction is treated as a signal only when the facts confirm it.
