# GPT Pro Get Started Guide
Welcome to GPT Pro, the secure, AI-powered chat assistant that lives inside Microsoft Teams. It helps you write, summarize, translate, explain, and refine content through natural conversation, without ever leaving your workspace. This guide walks you through installing GPT Pro, getting a license, and running your first chat. 🤖
# What is GPT Pro?
GPT Pro is a personal AI assistant you open from the Microsoft Teams left sidebar. You chat with it in plain language and it replies right in the conversation, streaming its answer as it writes. Use it to draft messages, clean up spelling and grammar, translate text, summarize long passages, explain a concept simply, or plan your day.
GPT Pro is hosted in Microsoft Azure in Europe and is GDPR compliant. It only works with the text you type: it does not read your Microsoft Teams messages, files, or other corporate systems, and your data is never used to train external models.
# Install GPT Pro
GPT Pro is distributed through the Microsoft Teams Store. Installing the app is quick, but a valid license must be assigned before you can start chatting.

# Key features
GPT Pro brings a full set of AI capabilities to everyday communication in Microsoft Teams.
# Message allowance
Each GPT Pro plan includes a message allowance that refreshes over a rolling 3-hour window. One message counts as either a message you send or a reply GPT Pro returns. When you reach the limit, GPT Pro pauses and offers to upgrade your plan; you can also simply wait for the window to refresh.
