# Reminds Pro Q&A

Quick answers to the questions teams ask most about Reminds Pro. If you are just setting up the app, start with the Reminds Pro get started guide.

# Pricing and licensing

# What plans are available?

Reminds Pro follows the Teams Pro plans: Free, Premium, and Platinum. You can create and schedule reminders on the Free plan. Recurring reminders (the Frequency option) require Platinum. Compare the current plan details in the Teams-Pro Admin Center (opens new window).

# Who needs a license?

Only users who use advanced features such as recurring reminders need a paid license. Other members in the channel, chat, or meeting can still view and manage the reminders their permissions allow.

# Is there a free trial?

Yes. Teams Pro apps come with a 1-month trial that unlocks Platinum features, with no upfront payment and unlimited licenses during the trial.

# Where do I buy or manage my subscription?

In the Teams-Pro Admin Center (opens new window), where you handle billing, seats, invoices, and can cancel or reactivate a subscription.

# Can I combine multiple subscriptions into one payment?

Yes. Move to a single subscription with the total number of licenses you need, then cancel the older individual subscriptions.

When you cancel the older subscriptions, any unused proration is lost and cannot be reinstated.

# Features and usage

# How do I create a reminder?

Open Reminds Pro, click Add, then fill in the Title, Description, Date, Time, Time zone, and the participants to notify. Set a Priority if needed, then click Schedule. For a step-by-step walkthrough, see How can I add a new reminder?.

# Can I set recurring reminders?

Yes. Use the Frequency field to repeat a reminder. The options are Do not repeat, Every hour, Every day, Every week, Every month, and Every year. You can also set an End date so the recurrence stops on a chosen day.

Recurring reminders require Reminds Pro Platinum. Upgrade in the Admin Center to enable the Frequency option.

# Who receives a reminder?

You choose who to notify in the Notify these participants field. A reminder can be Personal (just for you) or Shared with the people you add.

At least one participant is required to send a notification.

# How are reminders delivered?

When a reminder is due, Reminds Pro posts a notification to the Teams activity feed for each participant. The reminder also appears in your Reminds Pro app and in any shared tab where it was created.

# Can I edit or delete a reminder?

Yes. Use Edit to change a reminder and Delete to remove it. Deleting a reminder removes it permanently.

Reminders that have already been sent cannot be edited.

# What do the reminder statuses mean?

  • Scheduled: the reminder is set and waiting to be sent.
  • Sent: the reminder has already been delivered.

# How do I find a specific reminder?

Use the Search box to search by title or description, and use Filters to switch between All reminders and My reminders. Select Clear all filters to reset the view.

# Permissions

# What permission modes are available?

Open the settings icon in the top-right corner of the Reminds Pro tab and select Permissions. Three modes are available:

  • Everybody in this channel can add, edit, and delete reminders.
  • Only the owners of this Reminds Pro can add, edit, and delete reminders.
  • Customize permissions, where you grant each member the Add, Modify, or Delete rights individually.

# Who can change permissions?

Reminds Pro owners manage permissions from the Permissions settings. For the full procedure, see Managing permissions in Reminds Pro.

Grant edit and delete rights only to the people who need them, and review the list regularly so it stays aligned with team roles.

# Data and compliance

# Where is my data stored? Is it GDPR-compliant?

Reminds Pro runs inside your Microsoft 365 environment and is hosted on Microsoft Azure. The Teams Pro suite is built for GDPR compliance. See the Teams Pro trust center for the current data-protection and hosting details.

# Are your apps restricted for external users?

Not by default. Access for guests and external users depends on your Microsoft 365 external collaboration policies in Teams.

# Troubleshooting and support

# My app or tab is not opening in Teams.

This usually stems from tenant policies. Ask your IT team to check:

  • App registration disabled
  • Enterprise application disabled
  • A new or changed Conditional Access policy
  • Admin consent revoked
  • A tenant-wide setting disabled

# My reminder will not save. What is wrong?

Two common causes:

  • The reminder time is in the past. Choose a date and time in the future.
  • No participant is selected. Add at least one participant so the notification can be sent.

# Reminds Pro is not working. What should I send to support to speed things up?

Contact us in the chat inside the Teams-Pro Admin Center (opens new window). Please include:

  • Your plan (Free, Premium, or Platinum)
  • Your role (IT admin, user, and so on)
  • A detailed description of the issue
  • When it started (date and time, or after a specific change)
  • Whether you are a tab owner, plus the Tenant ID and channel name if possible
  • A screenshot or recording of the issue

This lets us investigate right away.
