# Image Pro Limits

Knowing what Image Pro can and cannot do helps you plan how your team uploads, edits, and pins images. These limits keep the editor fast and predictable inside Microsoft Teams.

# Platform

  • Microsoft Teams only: Image Pro runs inside Microsoft Teams as a channel tab, so your team edits and shares images in one place. It is not offered as a standalone web or desktop app.

# Supported file formats

  • Upload: you can upload PNG and JPEG images. Other file types are not accepted, and Image Pro shows a wrong-file-format message if you try to load one.
  • Output: when you save, the edited image is written as a PNG file, regardless of the format you started from.
Image Pro does not add its own file-size cap. Very large images are still subject to the upload limits of Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.

# One image per tab

  • Each Image Pro tab keeps a single pinned image.
  • If you upload and edit a new image in the same tab, the previously pinned image is replaced by the new one. This ensures the most recently edited image is always the one shown in the tab.

# Storage

  • Saved images are stored in your SharePoint environment through your Microsoft 365 tenant, so availability follows your organization's normal SharePoint access and retention.
