Map Pro Limits

Knowing what Map Pro can and cannot do helps you plan your setup. These limits keep the map fast and reliable for everyone who shares it.

Platform

• Microsoft Teams only: Map Pro runs inside Microsoft Teams so your team works with one shared map. It is not offered as a standalone web or desktop app.
• Admin consent required: the first time Map Pro opens in your tenant, a Microsoft 365 tenant admin must grant consent before anyone can continue.

Places and trips

• Count by plan: the number of places and trips you can add depends on your Map Pro plan. On the free version the count is limited, and Premium raises the allowance.
• When the limit is reached: Map Pro shows an upgrade banner and the button to add another place or trip stops adding new items until you upgrade or remove existing ones.

The exact place and trip allowances are set by your subscription rather than a fixed number in the app, so check your current plan in the Teams-Pro Admin Center.

Field lengths

• Title: up to 50 characters for a place or a trip.
• Description: up to 200 characters for a place or a trip.

Both fields show a live character counter so you can see how much room is left as you type.

Connections

• You can connect up to 3 Calendar Pro tabs to a single map.
• You can connect up to 3 Contacts Pro tabs to a single map.
• Each connection uses the source tab's unique identifier, and the identifiers must be different.

Trips

• A trip supports one transport mode at a time: Car, Train, Foot, or Bicycle.
• A trip needs a valid start point and destination. Map Pro flags an invalid address before you save.
